Even if you’ve been only remotely plugged in to the waking world over the last year, you can’t have failed to notice the huge hype that Monster Energy has been getting lately. What started off as yet another energy drink launch in 2002 soon spiralled into the creation of a huge cult following, with the brand gaining international fame by sponsoring x-treme sporting events like motocross, snowboarding and BMX.
Now, in 2k12, Monster is everywhere. And we mean EVERYWHERE – it feels like you can’t even leave your house without tripping over the green-and-black logo somewhere or other these days. Almost every product on the market, whether it’s a bedside lamp or a 4×4, is now available in ‘Monster Green’ – the colour itself has become an industry staple.
